Smart-Pig loans are short term – they are not a long term solution to debt issues. Our loans are not for customers looking to pay off another debt, or finance an unsustainable cost of living. Smart-Pig loans are for Smart-Pig moments, when you just need next month’s money now. Maybe your car has a problem, or your rent deposit hasn’t been repaid and left you in the lurch? Nothing to be ashamed of – a Smart-Pig loan could be the right solution.

If you are struggling to meet long term debt commitments, are unsure of future income, or are in other financial difficulty our loans are not for you – we strongly recommend you seek professional help elsewhere. Taking out a Smart-Pig loan will only make things more difficult for you as you are required to pay off your debt relatively quickly.

Is a Smart-Pig Loan Right for You?
We may offer the best short-term loan service for students online, but before taking out a loan with us it is worth considering whether a Smart-Pig loan is the right solution for you. Depending on the terms of your bank account overdraft or credit card, you may find other options to be cheaper or more flexible. Your university may have a Hardship Fund, and be able to provide short term financial support in the form of a loan or grant. We trust our customers to have fully informed themselves of the other options that may be available to them before using Smart-Pig.

Student Budgeting
Everyone has moments when things don’t go to plan, but if you don't have a plan things are definitely going to to get hairy. You are always going to get into trouble if you don’t budget at Uni. We’ve collected some of the best budgeting advice on the net, just for students.

Debt Difficulties
Smart-Pig’s loans are not suitable for customers who are struggling to meet long term debt commitments, are unsure of future income, or are in other financial difficulty – we offer a premium service designed to make our customer’s lives easier. If you are having problems with keeping up with your debts, taking using our service will likely make things more difficult for you are you are required to pay off your debt relatively quickly.
